Russian fighter jets were spotted over the Syrian coast after IDF aircraft appeared in the sky.

Against the backdrop of likely new IDF strikes on Syrian territory, Russian combat aircraft were seen in the sky over the coast of Syria. This happened simultaneously with the appearance of Israeli fighter jets in Lebanese airspace, which could well be used to strike new Iranian targets in western and northern Syria.

According to a columnist for the Syrian Arab Army News, Israeli combat aircraft were seen in the sky over Lebanon in the evening. The latter did not express any aggressive actions, however, the strange maneuvers of the latter could indicate preparations for strikes.

“This afternoon, enemy aircraft invaded the southern part of Lebanon. At 20:30 an enemy plane flew over the Galilee and southern Lebanon. Flights are carried out at low altitude. Caution and vigilance is required tonight."- said in the message.

A little later, the same source reported that Russian fighter jets were also seen over the coast of Syria. At the same time, the purpose of the appearance of the latter remains unknown.

“Russian warplanes are now active in the skies over the Syrian coast”- said in the message.

At the moment, there are no official statements on this subject, however, experts do not exclude that Russian military aviation could well ensure the security of Syrian airspace due to the risk of new Israeli strikes.
