Russian tanks have learned how to destroy American Javelins.

The Russian tanks involved in the SVO were adapted to destroy American Javelins. As it turns out, the Russian military has provided the tanks with systems that can recognize missiles moving at 360 km/h. and destroy them on the way.

According to experts, in order to turn tanks into hunters, it turned out to be enough to install means of dynamic protection on them. Despite the fact that, technically, the FGM-148 Javelin anti-tank missile is capable of penetrating the armor of even modern tanks, when using dynamic protection equipment, it does not cause even light damage to tanks.

In the case of a missile launch on a tank, the ERA detects ammunition moving at a speed of 100 m/s. and destroy it at a safe distance for an armored combat vehicle. This is the reason for the serious overexpenditure of anti-tank systems supplied to Ukraine from the United States and other countries.

Earlier, footage of the destruction of a missile fired from an ATGM from a distance of several tens of meters was already recorded on the territory of Mariupol - the tank received minor damage and remained combat-ready.
