A Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet was destroyed by a direct missile hit.

A commercial spacecraft captured the destruction of a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet in the Mykolaiv region. As a result of an accurate missile hit, the wreckage of a combat aircraft was scattered over a huge area, and the fighter itself is no longer subject to repair and restoration.

On the presented satellite image of the military airfield Voznesensk, located on the territory of the Nikolaev region, you can see a Ukrainian combat aircraft destroyed by a direct hit. Initially, it was assumed that we could talk about the Su-25 attack aircraft. However, later, during a more detailed analysis, it was found that we are talking about the MiG-29 fighter. How exactly the combat aircraft was destroyed is not known for certain, however, earlier attacks by cruise missiles, both sea-based and ground-based, were used in this direction.

When exactly the combat aircraft was destroyed at the Voznesensk airfield is unknown, however, taking into account the previously destroyed combat aircraft of this type and the total number of MiG-29 fighters that were part of the Ukrainian Air Force, it is logical to assume that today the Ukrainian Air Force has only a few these combat aircraft.
