Ukraine will receive two types of ammunition for the American MLRS M142 Himars - GMRLS M30 and M30A1 \ M30A2.

Against the background of how the American M142 Himars MLRS should arrive in Ukraine in less than a week, it became known that the United States will provide Ukraine with two types of long-range ammunition for these heavy installations. This, as we found out, is about the M30 and M30A1 \\ M30A2 ammunition, capable of hitting targets with a deviation of up to half a meter at distances up to 70 kilometers.

As Avia.pro journalists managed to find out, Ukraine will receive M30 ammunition, which is a 240-mm guided missile with a cluster warhead and an increased firing range of up to 70 km (compared to the M26 ammunition - ed.), as well as M30A1 ammunition \ M30A2, which have more power, which allows you to cover a large area with a continuous blow.

According to a number of data, in the near future, ammunition for the M142 Himars can also be supplied by Germany. However, we are talking about AT-2 ammunition designed for laying mines, which will allow the Armed Forces to lay minefields over vast areas.

Initially, it was reported that the United States intended to transfer only four Himars M142 MLRS to Ukraine, however, Washington announced that a decision had been made to increase the number of this type of MLRS transferred to the Armed Forces of this type - according to a number of data, we are currently talking about 12 M142 MLRS Himars.
