The NATO naval base in Ochakovo was destroyed on the very first day.

NATO's attempts to equip a naval base in Russia's "backyard" ended in complete failure for the Alliance. As it became known, the facility being built by the military bloc and the military infrastructure in Ochakovo being prepared for the deployment of significant NATO forces was destroyed on the very first day. Thus, this deprived NATO not only of plans for the future, but also prevented the Ukrainian fleet from using the infrastructure facilities of the naval base of the Western military bloc.

At the moment, the naval base in Ochakov and its infrastructure cannot be used by either NATO or Ukraine, although relatively recently the Ukrainian military managed to withdraw the medium landing ship Yuri Olefirenko from the port of Ochakov. The latter, according to preliminary data, is located in the western part of the Black Sea.

It is not known exactly what functions the military facility being built by NATO until recently performed, however, according to experts, the naval base could well have equipment that allows tracking Russian aircraft and Russian warships, and this could well pose a significant threat to Russia .
