In the Zaporozhye region, a Mi-35 combat helicopter was shot down from a MANPADS.

A few hours ago, a Mi-35 combat helicopter was shot down on the territory of the Zaporozhye region. The combat rotorcraft carried out strikes from a pitch-up and, probably, left for the base to replenish ammunition. However, despite the fact that the helicopter flew just a few meters above the ground, it was shot down from a portable anti-aircraft missile system.

On video footage taken from an unmanned aerial vehicle, you can see the moment of the defeat of a combat helicopter from a portable anti-aircraft missile system. Judging by the location of the flash, the rocket hit the helicopter in the right engine. Moreover, judging by the video footage, the blow was so strong that the helicopter literally turned around and the latter fell sideways to the ground, after which a strong fire started and the rotorcraft exploded.

It is known that there were two crew members on board the downed Mi-35 helicopter, however, so far there is no official data on the fate of the pilots.

The specific area where the Mi-35 helicopter was shot down over the Zaporozhye region is not named, and therefore it is currently impossible to establish on the territory controlled by whom the rotorcraft fell.
