Turkey has decided to refuse to buy Russian Su-35 fighters as seen by American F-16 fighters in case Washington refuses to supply them. As Avia.pro journalists managed to find out, Ankara decided to opt for the British Eurofighter Typhoon fighters, while Turkey drew attention to the fact that the purchase of Su-57 fighters will also not take place, since Turkey sees prospects in its arsenal fighters of the 5th generation TF-X.

“The Turkish government may be interested in buying Eurofighter Typhoon military aircraft if its request to buy F-16s from the United States is not granted, people familiar with the issue said. Turkish Air Force Commander General Hasan Kuçukakuz visited Britain, the main manufacturer of the Eurofighter consortium, last month and met with RAF Commander Marshal Sir Mike Wingston. Kuchukakuz also inspected the UK's rapid response system, which uses Typhoon aircraft. "The Typhoons are very good, excellent quality," said a source familiar with the Turkish government's discussion of the issue. “They may be a temporary option until we get our hands on local production of the fifth generation TF-X fighter, of course, if we cannot get the F-16”, according to Middle East Eye.

Earlier it became known that Turkey is considering the possibility of acquiring a large batch of Russian Su-35 fighters, and in the future it may also acquire Su-57 fighters, however, apparently, Ankara decided to abandon such a decision.
